Custom Info

When the time comes to open a new custom list, I will announce it a day ahead of time on Facebook.  You will be given a time to go to Facebook and watch for my update that says "do you want a custom Kinderpack?" There will be a 15 minute window to post to my update.  No rushing to be the first person please-it won't be neccessary.  No duplicates please- if you post more than once, you will be disqualified- no entering for someone else.  I will use a random number generator for the slots.  Please post your email address to my update that states "do you want a custom Kinderpack?"  I will count up all of the responses that are posted within the 15 minute window, and then calculate the  winners with the number generator.

 

If you get on the customs list, you will receive a detailed information email from me with all instructions, but below is a primer of what to expect.

 

 

 

 

 

1. choose your print and purchase 1 yard from your favorite fabric store/website- this can be any weight cotton- most people choose quilter/designer cottons- please check the links page for great places to buy prints.

 

2. Decide what size carrier you need- look at the "Carrier Info" link in the navigation bar to the left to get more info on sizing.  

 

3.  Choose your strap color. Please refer to the pop up color chart on the custom slot catalog listing for swatches of all the colors- instock and special order.

 

4. Tell me about any special instructions, such as layout of your print(s), or contrasting thread, or any other pertinent info in the 'special insturctions' box on the custom listing.

 

5. You need to send 1 yard of your chosen cotton print to me right away after purchasing a custom slot.  I need it within a week of purchase, so this means you should plan to mail it to me within a couple of days of said purchase.  Please dont depend on a fabric vendor to ship quickly- they usually dont.  

 

*using a wrap piece in place of a cotton print is not a wrap conversion- you will need 2 yds of a wrap to do body panels, hood, and headrests.  

 

For Kindercarry, I require wraps that measure at the very minumum 4.5m, but preferable 5+m.  Kinderpacks can use as short as a 3.5m wrap. Be advised that if you choose a wrap on the shorter end of the size spectrum, it may be possible to have to do the lining with a coordinating solid cotton- I can usually provide something suitable.  If you choose, you may also send another piece or wrap/fabric to use as the lining. 

 

Didymos-must be a sz 7 for a Kindercarry, sz 5 for a Kinderpack- stripes and jaquards are the best Didy choices for conversions

         *please no indios, ninos, waves, or silks

 

Hoppediz- great wraps for conversions

 

Lana- the best choice for conversions

 

BBslen, Girasols, and other GSWs- these are acceptable wraps for conversions

 

Zara- not acceptable
